Marine Laugier, the winner of regional Miss Biot beauty pageant was crowned ‘Miss Côte d’Azur 2010’ leaving behind Miss Nice, Laetitia Scano, and other beauties representing different regions of the Riviera.
The pretty blonde from Biot will now represent Côte d’Azur in the prestigious Miss France 2011 pageant. The 64th Miss France pageant is scheduled to be held on 4th December 2010 in Caen, Basse-Normandie where Malika Ménard, Miss France 2010 will crown her successor.

Apple opens its fourth French store in Nice
Technology giant Apple Inc. opened its fourth Apple Store in France on 28th August, 2010 among immense fervor at the esteemed Centre Commercial Cap 3000. The CAP 3000 store in Nice representing the southern coast is Apple’s second store in the Mediterranean and fourth in France.
Located in a 500 sq m area previously occupied by a Disney Store, the grand Apple Store opened its doors to thousands of enthusiastic visitors at 10 a.m. on August 28, 2010. On the same day, another Apple store was opened at Ross Park in the northern suburb of Pittsburg in the United States.
Other Apple stores in France include the ones at Carrousel du Louvre and Opéra in Paris and Odysseum in Montpellier. Moreover Apple is planning to open four other exclusive stores in France at unrevealed locations.

Beyonce’s exhilarating water adventure in St. Tropez
Donned in an endearing patterned ensemble complemented with striking sunglasses and chunky chandelier earrings, sensational pop diva Beyonce Knowles was recently spotted dashing on a Yamaha waverunner while vacationing in St. Tropez. The Sasha Fierce star was joined by her rapper husband Jay –Z and nephew Daniel Julez while they boarded a boat at the Beach Club 55.
After cruising around Monte Carlo, Monaco, shopping in the picturesque Italian town of Portoferraio and flaunting their ideal swimsuit bodies while unwinding on their opulent yacht, Beyonce and Jay-Z embarked at the Club 55. Clad in adorable tropical attires, the king and queen of R&B looked completely mesmerized by the allure of St. Tropez. Ecstatic about her wild water adventure, the Singles Ladies singer certainly turned plenty of heads owing to her drop dead gorgeous looks.
Beyonce is expected to head back to the States in a few days where she’ll be making an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. Beyonce faces stiff competition from husband Jay-Z as the two have been nominated in the Best Collaboration category at the VMA.

A New Interactive Guide for Monaco
Insid-Monaco, new state-of-the-art interactive guide to Monaco is now available for visitors and residents of the Principality. Found at Nice Airport, the tourism office, post offices and the Metropole shopping center, the terminals are equipped with a touch-sensitive screen which allows the user to navigate in search of a restaurant, a hotel, of a place to discover, a shop, a real estate agency, a post office, elevators, parking lots, current events, and even the directions to get there. You can also find the information on the Insid-Monaco website and its application for iPhones.
Cannes International Jumping
The famous Cannes International jumping and dressage competition begins tomorrow at the Hespérides Hippodrome. For three days the thirty best riders of the world (including six French riders) will compete in the fourth stage of the “Global Champions Tour 2010″ circuit (one of the only two French stages with Chantilly Hippodrome, a newcomer, in September). It is one of the most difficult competitions of show jumpings in the world, with an obstacle to cross every 3 to 4 seconds. The “Global Champions Tour 2010 ” includes nine stages, including Valencia (Spain), Hamburg (Germany), Milan (Italy), Monte Carlo (Monaco), Valkenswaard (Netherlands), Estoril ( Portugal) and Rio (Brazil).
The cost to attend is €23 on Thursday, then between €23 and €30 on Friday and Saturday.
Luxury Shopping at Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport

Being stranded at the airport won’t seem so bad anymore now that more luxury shops have opened in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The leading French travel retailer Aelia inaugurated a new shopping area at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport under their brand: Aelia Duty Free. The airport terminals 1 & 2 had been totally transformed to welcome the new shopping environment, in a classy and organized way with colour-coded category zones. The Hermès boutique more than doubled in size from 30m² to 70m², and the duty-free perfume and cosmetics shops now include a special section called Les Créateurs for couture-inspired designer perfume brands such as Fragonard, Vera Wang and Stella McCartney. Those looking for gourmet goodies will find a huge selection in the 188m² space dedicated to Hédiard.
Antique Hunting near Avignon
Some of the best antiques in Provence can be found at Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, just 20 minutes from Avignon on the banks of the river Sorgue. There are seven antique villages and over 300 boutiques selling antiques of all kinds, from furniture and art to silverware and vintage linens. The village itself is adorable, with its historic canals and wooden mills, giving it the reputation of a provençal Venice. The antique villages are open on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and holidays, and every Sunday there is an outdoor brocante. Over 500 dealers come to the town to sell their wares on the weekend closest to Assumption Day (August 15), be sure not to miss it!
